Olaf Stevens for Glass Factory Leerdam, Unique glass bowl with graal technique, 1993

Unique thick glass bowl designed by Olaf Stevens for Leerdam Glass Factory in 1993. From 1991 to 1999, Stevens was active as designer at Glasfabriek Leerdam. His works are often brightly coloured, as can be seen in this bowl. This gives the works of Stevens a unique and cheerful appearance. Stevens used white, purple and various shades of yellow in this work. De dots and the spiraling lines form a playful contrast. Stevens uses the graal technique for his decorations. The work is signed on the bottom with: 'Leerdam Unica O.S. 93043' Olaf Stevens'.
