Fons Reggers, silver brooch with semiprecious stone, 1920s, Amsterdam. This crafty silver brooch represents the horoscope Aquarius with a male figure pouring water from a jug. Fons Reggers and his brother Rein Reggers came from a long lineage of goldsmiths. They specialized in silver jewelry with semiprecious gems (and often with red coral) and diverse silver utensils. Fons Reggers (1886-1962) was responsible for the designs and Rein Reggers (1894-after 1983) for the day to day operations of the firm Gebr. Reggers (1919-1960).
