Beautiful yellow glazed earthenware sculpture depicting 'Het Denken' ('Thinking'), designed and executed by Dutch ceramist and sculptor W. C. Brouwer (1877-1933). Brouwer worked as an architectural ceramist as well, for instance for the Peace Palace in The Hague. He worked together with architects such as H.P. Berlage, J.J.P. Oud and W.M. Dudok.
