Beautiful ceramic lamp socket designed by Marian Zawadzki for Tilgmans Keramik in approximately 1960. The lamp socket has a representation of a dear with leaves against a blue background. The background is carved in with vertical lines which results in a light texture. The outline of the figures are also carved in. Marian Zawadzki started at Tilgmans Keramik in 1953, as a Polish refugee. He introduced a carved in 'sgraffito' background, something that quickly became associated with Tilgmans Keramik.
