Unique vase designed by Olaf Stevens for Glass Factory Leerdam in 1993. The vase is executed by Arie van Loopik and is signed at the bottom with: 'Leerdam Unica O.S. 91107L Olaf Stevens'. Olaf Stevens (1954) was employed as designer at Glass Factory Leerdam from 1991 until 1999. He decorates his works with colorful pictographs, as you can see on this work. This often results in a unique and cheerful appearance. For his decorations he uses a Swedish graal technique he has developed further, which allows him to work with great precision. Besides a glass artist, Stevens is a ceramist as well. His works are on show in museums all over the world.
