This blue glass bowl on foot is designed by Floris Meydam and produced at Glasfabriek Leerdam in 1960. Floris Meydam (1919-2011) has designed marvelous glass objects for the Leerdam Factory since the 1950s. His work was important for the development of an International Style concerning the glass arts, besides that of artists like Flavio Poli, Per Lütken and Vicke Lindstrand. Typical for his work are the timeless forms and beautiful bright colors.
