Side table designed by the Danish architect Finn Juhl for the firm France & Son in 1960. This model 535 side table is made of teak. A similar side table for the Indian firm Ahuja & Co. can be found in our collection as well. The Danish architect and designer Finn Juhl was well known outside of Denmark early on thanks to a commission for the UN headquarters in New York and a representation in the Museum of Modern Art. Danish Mid-Century Modern design became an international phenomenon when Juhl collaborated with the American furniture industry. Nowadays, his designs are seen in both private as public spaces all over the world.
