Colourful chair of tubular steel, designed by Kho Liang Ie in 1968 for Stabin, Woerden. The design is of 1968. The chair was manufactured in the 1970s. The red upholstery is original and made by 'De Ploeg'. Seat height: Lowest point 28 cm, highest point 38 cm. Kho Liang Ie (1927-1975) is most known for his design for Schiphol Airport in the 1960s. Liang Ie was born in Indonesia and came to the Netherlands in 1949 where he was trained as an interior designer and designer at the Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam. He was appointed aesthetic consultant and designer at Artifort in 1958. Liang Ie also worked for Bruynzeel and Mosa among others.
