Art Deco flower pot designed by Theo Colenbrander for Plateelbakkerij Ram (Ram pottery in Arnhem, The Netherlands). The pattern called 'Weefsel' ('Fabric') was hand-painted on the earthenware vase by painter Albert Peters. It was manufactured in 1924 and signed on the bottom. Christiaan Adriaan Theodoor Colenbrander (1841-1930) was originally an architect but became one of the first Industrial designers in the Netherlands. From 1884-1889 he was a designer and artistic director at the Hague Plateelbakkerij Rozenburg. In the period 1920-1925 the Ram pottery factory in Arnhem exclusively produced earthenware designed by Colenbrander. His works can be found in The Rijksmuseum Amsterdam and several other public collections.
