Lies Cosijn (1931-2016) was a Dutch ceramist. Her work is often poetic with dreamlike scenes, but at the same time also shows quite realistic or even bizarre and provocative scenes. Moreover, Cosijn can also be classified as a draftsman. These crafts go hand in hand in her works. This bowl is decorated on the outside with a black engobe with a scratchdecor. On the inside sinterengobe was used and it shows a set of figures in an erotic act. During the 1980's, Cosijn produced a lot of works with nude figures.
