Kees Smout (1876-1961), brown patinated bronze sculpture 'Terpsichore', with monogram and dated 1931. Terpsichore (Greek: Τερψιχόρη) is one of the nine muses of Greek mythology. Her name means 'She who likes to dance', and she is the muse of dance and lyric poetry, and the patroness of the choir. Her attribute is the lyre.
