Original 1920s Cubist gouache stencil by Albert Gleizes, 'Decoratión pour la gare de Moscou', depicting the decoration of the Moscow train station in simplified in stylized geometric forms and shapes. It is not completely abstract; you can recognize human figures and architecture. Paper size: 45 x 35 cm, inside of passe-partout: 39.5 x 31 cm. Albert Gleizes (1881-1953) was a French artist. He is associated with the development of the cubist and abstract movements among prominent figures like Pablo Picasso, Georges Braque and Metzinger. Gleizes works can be found in many public and private collections like the MoMA (New York) and Tate Modern (London).
