Festive Open House and glass exhibition Willem Heesen

From December 27, 2019 to February 2, 2020, Kunstconsult presents a special exhibition of glass art by Willem Heesen (1925-2007). On show is a collection of masterpieces that have been built by two generations of private collectors. The kick-off is during our Open House from 27 to 30 December 2019.
Family collection
The sales exhibition includes some beautiful objects from Heesen's period at Glasfabriek Leerdam, but above all poetic works from his own glass studio the Oude Horn. Many glass objects of this unique family collection were purchased directly from the artist and were not on the market before.
Nature as a source of inspiration
The nature surrounding his glass studio located on the river Linge was a constant source of inspiration for Willem Heesen. His unique glass objects show his fascination for underwater life and the influence of the seasons and the weather on the landscape. Heesens works are characterized by organic shapes, stillness and their particular use of color.
Opening times December 2019
The kick-off of the sales exhibition takes place during our Open House, from Friday 27 December to Monday 30 December, daily from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Opening times January 2020
In January 2020, the exhibition can be visited on Wednesday to Friday from 1 p.m. - 5 p.m. or by appointment. NOTE: New Year's Day closed.
Finissage: first weekend of February
The finissage is on Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 February 2020 from 1 p.m. - 5 p.m.
