Stunning stained glass lamp (1917-1919) in the manner of Willem Bogtman. This beautiful hand-painted stained glass lamp was commissioned by the Koninklijke Hollandsche Lloyd (KHL) for their new office, the Lloydbuilding at the Prins Hendrikade in Amsterdam. The KHL (1899-1981) was a Dutch shipping company who offered a service line between Amsterdam and South-America. This lamp shows besides the South-America line also the line to New York, which was offered in the period 1917-1919. Willem Bogtman (1882-1955) was a famous designer and stained glass artist and worked in the style of the Amsterdam School. The ceiling cap is not in original state. Measurements globe: 40 cm.
