This unique glass object 'Verscheurd Landschap' ('Torn Landscape') is designed by Willem Heesen in 1988. The work is signed on the bottom with: 'W. Heesen 880142'. Willem Heesen became the head designer for Glass Factory Leerdam from 1967. He opened his own glass studio De Oude Horn in Acquoy in 1978. This studio became an important meeting place for glass artists. The poetic work of Heesen was often inspired by the river landscape of Acquoy.
