Colorful Studio Glass one-off bowl by Andries Dirk Copier in collaboration with master glass blower Bernard Heesen at studio Oude Horn. This bowl is made of thick colorless crystal glass with opaque blue and transparent bright red shards. The shards are fused into the core and some are layered to create a relief-like surface texture. Also opaque white stripes and mottling are applied. The bowl is hand worked, signed and dated: '89 05 01 oude Horn Bernard' in vibro-engraving on the wall, above the foot. The signature 'A.D. Copier' is incised in diamond point in the pontil mark. This item is described and documented in the publication 'Andries Dirk Copier. Ideas in glass. Unica and more' by Dieter Enke (publisher: Arnoldsche, 2009). A copy of this book will be included.
