For this glass vase, Ingeborg Lundin has used the Ariel technique. This technique is based on the Graal technique, and was developed by Gustav Bergkvist, Vicke Lindstrand and Edvin Öhrström while working at Orrefors, Sweden. The vase is beautifully decorated with air traps in a geometrical pattern. These air bubbles are obtained by sandblasting the forms in cold glass, which was heated up again and covered with a layer of glass. This was then blown into its final form and size. This vase has a deep blue casing in the intermediate layer which becomes thicker towards the top. The upper part is also overlaid in faint brown. The final casing of colorless crystal glass becomes thicker towards the foot.
