This sculpture of a kneeling Javanese boy is designed by August Falise for N.V. Plateelbakkerij Haga between 1904 and 1907. It is executed by the Tegel-en Aardewerkfabriek Voorheen Amstelhoek between 1907-1910. Signed at the pedestal 'Aug. Falise'. Marked at the bottom with VH Amstelhoek. The Javanese boy by Falise is on show in the exhibition 'Art Nouveau in the Netherlands' in Gemeentemuseum Den Haag (April 21 - October 28 2018).
