Poul Kjaerholm (1929-1980) started his career as carpenter’s apprentice in 1948. He studied at the Kunsthandvaerkerokolen in Kopenhagen in 1952, where he stayed on as a teacher till 1956. In 1959 he started teaching at the Kongelige Dansk Kunstakademi, of which he became the director in 1976. The furniture of Kjaerholm was largely produced by E.
