Peter Bremers
The Netherlands
1957
Dutch sculptor and glass artist Peter Bremers (1957) discovered his fondness for the art of glass when he visited the workshop of Andries Copier and Willem and Bernard Heesen at the Jan van Eyck academy, where he also did a postgraduate. He developed his glassblowing techniques further at De Oude Horn, the studio of Willem Heesen, and as an assistant of Bernard Heesen. Bremers’ sculptures and glass objects are greatly inspired by his impressions and observations he obtains during his travels.
