Metal bookends designed by Marianne Brandt for Ruppelwerk, ca. 1930. The German painter, sculptor, photographer and designer Marianne Brandt studied at the Bauhaus school and became head of the metal workshop in 1928. Brandt's designs for household objects are considered timeless examples of modern industrial design.
