Rare beautiful Tapio Wirkkala plate, for Venini, from the series 'filigrane di Tapio' signed and dated Venini TW 86 on the back, made of Murano glass using Incalmo technique. The sign stands as a sculpture on a stable, black metal base. The sign has striking colors, from the outside in, clear glass with white filigrano, gray, purple and clear glass with gold flakes. The craftsmanship of the master glassblower can be seen in the very regular pattern of the filigrani. the bowl is large and is therefore a real conversation piece, ideal for placing on a large console table or near a fireplace.
