This unique glass artwork inspired by the landscape of the river Linge is made by Willem Heesen in his glass studio De Oude Horn in 1988. The work consists of a flat glass plate, placed in a metal stand, made by the 'fusing' of glass: the melting together of pieces of flat glass. The glass plate consists of multiple layers of glass in different colours, from bright green to deep purple. The front of the piece has a smooth surface and the back is mat. On the left bottom corner the glass is signed: 'WHeesen'.
