Marc Mulders, 'Vlinderkooitje', Museumjaarobject Glasmuseum Leerdam, Executed by Henk Verweij, 2009

Marc Mulders designed this 'Butterfly Cage' commissioned by the Leerdam Glass Museum. It was the Museum's Object of the Year for 2009 and was executed by Henk Verweij. The work consists of two parts with stained-glass decoration. Butterflies are painted on the clear glass base. A glass dome covers this base, preventing the butterflies from flying. This dome is also painted. This piece is number 23 in an edition of 100. A certificate of authenticity is included.
