Four teak chairs with orange upholstery designed by Johannes Andersen for Mahjongg Vlaardingen in the 1960s. Andersen's career paralleled the growing appreciation for Danish furniture designs, and he attracted international attention. He designed for several workshops before opening his own furniture workshop in the 1930s. His well-crafted designs were mostly executed in rosewood and teak. He is known for his coffee tables, like the highly sculptural Smile Table. He closed his workshop in the 1980s.
