Ceramic vase with oval base, designed by Johan van Loon in the 1970s. Marked on the bottom with a stamp of Royal Copenhagen Denmark. In the 1960s Van Loon started his career as a ceramist. His oeuvre is very diverse. During his early years he was influenced by Arabia-ceramics. Later, he was inspired by growing forms, like trees and mushrooms. In the 1970s his ceramics started to become textile-like. This originates from his background as a textile artist. During the course of his career, his use of colors became more varied.
