Marja de Boer Lichtveld (1941) is a versatile artist. She graduated from the Kunstnijverheidsschool (now Gerrit Rietveld Academie) in Amsterdam at the beginning of the turbulent sixties. Freedom, love and the female body were the subject of her works in this period. Later she formed an artistic duo with her husband Frans de Boer Lichtveld (1942-2016) for more than 45 years. They produced many works for the public space, domestically as well as abroad. Marja is still active as an artist.
