Silver brooch with carnelian designed by Fons Reggers in the 1920s in Amsterdam. Fons Reggers and his brother Rein Reggers came from a long lineage of goldsmiths. They specialized in silver jewelry with semiprecious gems (and often with red coral) and diverse silver utensils. Fons Reggers (1886-1962) was responsible for the designs and Rein Reggers (1894-after 1983) for the day to day operations of the firm Gebr. Reggers (1919-1960).
