Chris (J.J.C.) Lebeau

The Netherlands 1878 - 1945

Joris Johannes Christiaan Lebeau (1878 – 1945) studied at the Quellinusschool and Rijksschool voor Kunstnijverheid. A few years later he studied the art of drawing at the Rijksacademie van Beeldende Kunsten in Amsterdam in the evening. After this he was active as a decorative artist, lithographer, drawer and painter. From 1924 to 1925 Lebeau designed several unique vases for the Glass Factory of Leerdam. In the period of 1926 to 1929 he also made glass designs for the Bohemian factory of Ludwig Moser & Söhne.
