Cassina

Italy

Cassina S.p.A. was founded in 1927 by Cesare and Umberto Cassina as ‘Figli di Amadeo Cassina’ (‘the sons of Amadeo Cassina’). The goal of the company was to produce the best handmade furniture in Italy. Over the years, the company has obtained the rights to products designed by some of the most important designers of the 20th century, for example the Red and Blue Chair by Gerrit Rietvield. This collection is called ‘Cassina I Maestri’ (‘Masters of Cassina’) and was created in 1964, when Cassina acquired the rights to the designs of Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand. Nowadays, Cassina is active in furniture and interior design across the globe.
